PowerPoint/Word: Update all (update every Excel Export)

    

This feature lists all imported data in the active document (imported either as picture or as text) and allows you to update them all or to select a subset.

To help you decide which imports should be updated, a click on any items in the list displays and selects the corresponding data in the document.

 

When you click the Update button, UpSlide tries to update each of selected items using the contents of all opened workbooks. The shapes for which update has failed, by excess or lack of potential source, are put in a separate list.

You can then open the Find the source dialog box directly by double clicking the problematic items.

 

Options:

  • You can choose to ignore date conflicts for all selected imports. For example, you will need this option if you wish to update from an old version of the source Excel file.
  • Instead of updating the data, you can simply check to which files they are linked by click the Refresh sources button.
  • You can also open all the files last used for updating using the Open source files button.
